At DevDay on 29 September, OpenAI said ChatGPT will suggest apps during conversations when one could help finish a task, and developers can build interactive panels that run inside the chat. OpenAI says ChatGPT has 1.2 billion weekly users.
It also launched Dots, agents that TechCrunch says can connect to over 4,000 apps and research on their own in read-only mode, with the user approving any action.
For Marketing Engineers, this is the direction of travel: AI that doesn’t just answer, it acts. Agents will research your brand, your reviews and your content on someone’s behalf. A clear, written-down brand is how you make sure every agent comes back with the same story.
